How We Install Pavers

Every paver project follows a proven 6-step process that ensures a level, stable, and long-lasting surface.

Site Assessment

We visit your property, take measurements, assess drainage conditions, check soil type, and discuss material options. You receive a detailed written estimate within a few days.

Excavation

We excavate the area to a depth of 8 to 12 inches depending on the application, removing topsoil and organic material that could cause settling.

Base Preparation

Crushed aggregate is laid in 2-inch lifts and compacted with a plate compactor to 95% Proctor density. This base is the foundation of a paver surface that will not shift or settle.

Bedding and Layout

A 1-inch layer of coarse bedding sand is screeded to a precise, level surface. Edge restraints are installed, and the paver pattern is laid out with string lines.

Paver Placement

Pavers are placed by hand in the chosen pattern, cut to fit edges and curves with a wet saw, and checked for level throughout the installation.

Jointing and Compaction

Polymeric sand is swept into the joints and activated with water. The entire surface receives a final pass with a plate compactor to lock everything into place.
